2. Circa 1740 hall. A 2-storey sandstone "brick" elevation with rusticated quoins of 5 bays. Plinth, moulded stringcourse, moulded stone eaves cornice with shaped kneelers set above to coped gable ends of stone slate roof, flanking chimneys. Five windows, symmetrical about doorway, in moulded stone architrave surrounds, modern glazing, moulded sills on block brackets. Pedimented doorway with Gibbs surround and massive tripled keystone. Rare survival of a house of this period in an area built up in the latter part of the C19. Interior is considerably altered C19, the staircase is open string with turned balusters swept round with hand rail to foot.
