GV II

Row of 3 houses. Early C19. Dressed stone, stone slate roof. 2 storeys. Raised quoins, moulded gutter brackets. 6 bays of windows with raised surrounds; bays 1,2,5 and 6 retain 4-paned sashes. No 40 has altered central bay window to left of doorway with engaged Tuscan columns the entablature decorated with urns, open pediment with fanlight. Other doorways have monolithic jambs. Coped gables with kneelers and stacks. 2 other stacks to ridge.
