II

House. Initialled and dated "WD 1671". rubble brought to course, stone slate roof. 2 storeys. 2-light flat-faced mullioned window with plain stone surrounds to left of doorway with composite jambs and monolithic lintel bearing date, chamfered surround. 3-light double-chamfered mullioned window to 1st floor, lacks mullions. Rear has late C18 lean-to with 2-light flat-faced mullioned window with inner chamfer and, right, doorway with monolithic jambs. Reused double-chamfered mullioned window from dairy now demolished. Single stack to ridge at junction with C19 addition.

Interior: Baffle-entry to main room with stop-chamfered floor joists and spine beams which have scarf joints, evidence of former bressumer and fire-hood. The extensions to spine beams are supported on wooden corbel over late C18 fireplace with monolithic jambs. Rear room, in outshut, has stone staircase. Attached to left is C18 barn converted to form extra accommodation and to right late C19 addition, neither of particular interest.
