House. Probably late C17 with late-C19 alteration and with mid-C20
extension: now in 2 occupations. Hammer-dressed stone, dressed quoins,
stone slate roof. Two storeys. Two-cell plan with small rooms to
rear and with gable-entry originally. Double-chamfered mullioned
windows. Two-light fire-window; 4-light housebody window; inserted
C19 doorway with monolithic jambs with chamfered surround; 3-light
window. 1st floor has altered C19 window and 2 of 3 lights. All
lack mullions. Gable stacks. Left hand return wall has lean-to
with C17 doorway with composite jambs and chamfered surround, the
lean-to built over original door entry. Rear, originally single-
storey raised to 2 storeys early C19. Two-light chamfered mullioned
window (moved from gable when extension was added) to left of 2-light
double-chamfered mullioned window. Doorway with monolithic jambs.
1st floor has 2 windows with plain stone surrounds.
Interior: has heck-screen and post with stop chamfers for former
bressumer (removed); scarf jointed spine beams.
Mid-C20 extension to right not of interest.
