GV II
Terrace of workers' houses with end lodging houses (now houses). Completed by 1854. By Lockwood and Mawson for Titus Salt. Hammer- dressed stone. Welsh slate roof. Two storeys, one bay each. Each house has a plain entrance and one window to each floor. Some have an inserted bathroom window. Paired stone gutter brackets. At each end of the terrace is the single projecting bay of the end houses which have round-arched archivolted ground-floor openings, square- headed lst-floor openings on a sill band and wooden gutter brackets. Hipped roof. Two-bay left and right returns as front end bays.
The end houses are more architectural because of their visual importance to Caroline Street and Albert Terrace.
Part of Saltaire model village.
