Includes No. 11 Melbourne Place. Corner site, paired villas designed as one.
Circa 1850-55. Two-storeys, dressed sandstone "brick", ashlar dressings.
Six bay front with plinth, plat band, frieze and moulded eaves cornice. Hipped
slate roof with corniced chimneys. First floor has shallow revealed 6 pane
sash windows. Large rectangular 3 light bay window with cornice to left hand
of ground floor and 3 plain sash windows. Central doorway, archivolt arched with
pilaster caps as imposts, contained in plain surround with console brackets
to cornice over. The return front to Melbourne Place is of 4 bays with
similar details. The doorway matches that of No 9 but is enclosed by a good
wrought iron scrolled trellis porch.
