Details

SOWERBY BRIDGE WARLEY WOOD LANE SE 0424 & SE 0524 (south side) , Luddenden 9/291 Foot Barn approximately 7 metres to north-west of Upper Long Bottom Farmhouse GV II Barn. Late C18 - early C19. Coursed squared watershot stone, stone slate roof. 2 storeys, 4 internal bays. Central segmental-arched cart-entry with tiestones, impost and dropped keystone. Above it a Venetian window with imposts and keystones to arched light and crown-glass with glazing bars, flanked by keyed lunettes. To far left, at lower level, a mistal doorway with plain stone surround. A similar doorway, with window on its left, to right end. Plain gutter brackets on table. Rear: opposing cart-entry, widened and arch replaced by steel joist c1970; above it a Venetian window and lunettes as front. Each return has a keyed lunette to gable. Interior: roof trusses have queen posts, collars and short king posts.
