G.V. II
Bank building. Dated 1890, by William Henry Howorth of Cleckheaton. Ashlar slate roof. Two storeys. Four by five bays on corner site with single corner bay. Moulded cornice between floors. Moulded eaves cornice with blocking course. Over each end bay and corner bay is pedimented dormer with elaborate carving to front and tympanum and with large ball and stalk finial. One is dated 1890. Doorway to corner bay and last two bays to right which have raised letters over: BANK, PRIVATE ENTRANCE, & BANK CHAMBERS. Ground floor windows are separated by pilasters. Upper floor windows have moulded architraves and scrolled pediments.
