SE 11 SW HUDDERSFIELD ROAD (south side) 2/18 (Meltham)

29th December 1980 Nos. 68, 70 & 72 II

Probably formerly one house, now divided. C17 or early C18 origin. Altered mid to late C19. Coursed rubble. Quoins. Stone slate roof with hollow chamfered gable copings on moulded kneelers. 2 ashlar stacks, one rendered. Two storeys. Doorway to No. 72 has moulded surround and arched lintel. C19 doorways to Nos. 70 and 68. Nos. 68 and 72 each have one 4-light double chamfered window with only king mullion remaining. Late C19 windows to No. 70. Rear: various double chamfered windows including two of 4-lights. Some mullions removed and some blind lights. Some C19 openings. Recent porch to No. 72. French window to No. 70. Small extension to No. 68.
