7/98 The Bay Horse

GV II

House now public house. Late C17 altered C18, C19 and C20. Ashlar magnesian limestone facade, coursed rubble elsewhere; Welsh slate roof. 2 storeys with former attic, 3 windows to 1st floor; lower 2-storey range across rear. Large quoins. Door to right of centre has 3-pane overlight beneath cornice on corbels. Wide C20 3-light window to right; canted Aid-Cl9 bay window to left has sashes of 8, 12 and 8 panes with projecting stone sill; to far left a sash with glazing bars having projecting stone sill and flat arch. 1st floor: 3 sash windows as ground-floor left. Eaves band, shaped kneelers and chamfered gable copings. Yellow brick end stack on right and matching ridge stack on left. Left return: blocked attic window with square-faced surround.
