GV II

House in row. Late C18 or early C19. Flemish bond brickwork, late roof. 2 storeys and attic, 2 windows; 6-pane sash flat-roofed dormers above a 12-pane sash at first floor, right, and a 2-storey faceted rebuilt bay to the left, with C20 casement windows. To the right is an original 6-panel door under a light hood; to its left is a former opening filled with brickwork, evidently the original doorway. A blocking course with parapet coping is set above a brick string at lintel height. The left gable has a large stack, there is a parallel rear range, and the right gable has remains of a formerly attached property, rising to a rough-coped gable parapet; this end heavily overgrown at the time of survey. The previous description for this item indicated that the original sashes had been retained, with bars to the bow, including modillion cornices. INTERIOR: not inspected. (RCHME: Dorset, South-East: London: 1970-: 374).
