WEST BRETTON
PARK ROAD
(south side, off)
Churchyard wall with gateways and gates to west, south and east of Church in Bretton Park.

GV
II

Churchyard wall with gateways and gates. Circa 1744 (date of church q.v.).
Coursed squared stone wall with slightly weathered coping and a simple later
iron railing. The wall forms a ha-ha on the south side and sweeps to the
north in a double curve at the west end where it becomes lower, probably due
to infilling of the ha-ha ditch. Pair of ashlar piers to the east gateway
with iron intermediate piers. The gates have square bars and dog bars with
circles forming top and mid bands. The west wall terminates at north end in
a square pier. The east gateway has short square ashlar piers with moulded
bases and broad, flat moulded caps. Simple iron gates.
