7/132 Sheep-dip in bend of road to south of entrance to The Croft

GV II

Sheep-dip. Probably C18. Well-coursed and dressed rubble. Rectangular walled enclosure has north entrance and south exit leading to wide sunk stone trough which has groove for overflow out to east side leading to river bed of stream with low stone walls and exit channel to south-east corner.

At the entrance to the village, formerly used by the village farms. Now partly overgrown and the river bed dry.
