Roman Catholic Church of St Wilfrid with attached presbytery

Roman Catholic church with attached presbytery. Church 1788, slightly altered,
presbytery perhaps a later addition, altered. Coursed squared magnesian limestone,
slate roof. Rectangular range with church forming the northern half. Church
has 3 tall round-headed windows with keystones in the front wall, 3 similar
windows in the rear wall, a small added porch to a relocated entrance at the
north end of the front, and patched masonry in place of the former doorway
in the north gable wall, a lunette above this. Interior is a single vessel
with an inserted gallery at the north end. Presbytery 2 storeys and 3 bays,
symmetrical, has in the centre an altered doorway with glazed door and fanlight
with radiating glazing bars, 2 vertical rectangular windows at ground floor
and 3 above (those at ground floor taller), all with altered glazing. Both
parts under one roof, with chimneys at the junction and at the south gable
of the presbytery. Rear of presbytery has altered openings.
