Barn. Late C18. Timber-framed with tarred weatherboard cladding, on brick plinth. Half-hipped roof of plain tiles below thatch. 5 bays, aisled, with central opposing cart-entries rising through eaves under hipped, plain tile gables. Board doors with old strap hinges and latches. East elevation has 2 doors on either side of cart-entry. Rear: a door at either end; 2-light windows. Right return: inserted loading door at ground level, 2 windows above and original loading door in gable. Left return: various windows. Interior: good quality soft wood timber frame with timbers of large scantling; jowled aisle posts with straight braces up to arcade plates and tie-beams and long raking braces down to wall ties which are set on brick plinths; walls have narrow vertical panels and diagonal braces; stepped collared queen-strut trusses with principal rafters and two tiers of clasped purlins; yoked plank ridge piece.
