WINCLE C.P., DANEBRIDGE, Dane Bridge

II

Roadbridge, 1869, of reddish-buff rock-faced gritstone. One deep segmental arch of substantial span. Battered buttresses at inner ends of abutments. Projecting smooth bands at road level support plain ashlar parapets. The corners beneath the arch are chamfered. Date on keystone. The south abutment is in Heaton C.P.Staffordshire.
