WINNERSH MOLE ROAD (north west side) SU 76 NE 9/8 Berkshire Masonic Centre (formerly listed as 26.1.67 Sindlesham House)

II

Large house, now part of Masonic centre. Late C18 altered and extended C20. Painted stucco, hipped slate roof. L-plan with extensions on west and north. 2 storeys. First floor string, plain frieze and cornice, tall parapet with balustraded panels flanking central pediment. South west front:- 7 upper bays, the 3 centre bays in slight projection with pediment and flanked by 2 upper windows on either side over a large flat segmental bow with 3 windows, ground floor of centre part has flanking windows and central door, arched radiating fanlight, under psueudo Doric enclosed porch, 2 columns, entablature and blocking course. All windows are sashes with glazing bars. To left is an extension similar but with lower parapet and 2 bays of sash windows with glazing bars. Large C20 extensions on north (this part not listed).
