Farmhouse, now house. C16, altered and extended late Cl8 and mid C20. Part timber frame with brick and rendered infill, part brick. Old tile hipped and gabled roofs. Formerly rectangular plan of 2 framed bays; 2 cells, central staircase extension on north. 2 storeys and cellar. 2 chimneys with moulded stone cornice and clay pots on front part, one large chimney with 3 weathered stages on side at rear. Entrance (north) front: Cl8 brick in Flemish bend. Projecting plinth, plain stone cornice, parapet and stone coping. 5 bays. Sash windows with glazing bars, stone cills, and gauged brick arches. Central doorcase with Ionic columns, open dentilled pediment, 6- panel door with round-headed Adam style fanlight with lead cames; approached by a flight of 4 stone steps. Interior: hall with dentilled cornice, stairs now C20 and repositioned. Drawing run: egg and dart plaster cornice, panelled dado and walnut doors with moulded architraves. Study: dentilled plaster cornice enriched with acanthus leaf ornament; marble fireplace with leaf and floral decoration. Formerly known as Oakley Place Farmhouse.
