Farmhouse, late C17 but of C19 appearance. Whitened roughcast on
brickwork, machine tile roof. 2 storeys and attic. 4 bays. A rear
wing (east) completes a "T" shaped plan. Part glazed, 4-panel door
with bolection moulded lower panels and single wing-light under flat,
lead covered, hood with moulded cornice supported by moulded gallows
brackets. 1-to-3-light flush casements, in projecting frames, with
crown mould. The windows to the south have C20 metal casement
inserts. There are sashes at the rear (west). The south end has lead
hips and the north end a gable end stack. A lean-to has been added to
south.
Interior: A framed ceiling of four bevelled beams with exposed joists.
Two areas of exposed timbers with passing braces. Hall ceiling framed
into panels of square section joists. Other areas of stop-chamfered
beams and exposed joists. At first floor old wide boarded doors on
strap hinges and exposed posts, with carved consoles, carrying ends of
ovolo moulded beam. Also posts with jowls and chamfered beams with
exposed joists.
