Details
ELTON ROAD 1. 5l21 (South East Side ) Boundary wall at St Brendon's School for Girls ST 4071 1/56 ST 47 SW 3/56 II GV 2. To the south, west and north of the grounds at St Brendon's School for Girls (see under Victoria Road ). The wall runs west along Old Church Road, turns the corner into Elton Road and continues north before curving east along a footpath leading to Victoria Road. Probably mid Cl9. The wall is of coursed rubble blocks with a slight batter at the base. Plain square buttresses with low pyramidal tops divide the wall into sections. On Old Church Road is a pedestrian doorway (blocked) with rusticated voussoirs and keystone. To east of doorway, the wall is returned to north.
The Boundary Wall, St Brendon's School for Girls, the Fountain, Outbuilding to north, and Lodge at north entrance, Victoria Road, form a group.
