WYCHOUGH C.P. LOWER WYCH LANE (East side, by Oldcastle Heath Lane) Dovecot in farmyard of Manor Farm II

Dovecot, late Georgian, of English garden wall bond brown brickwork with pyramidal graded grey slate roof, surmounted by wooden louvre vent and weathervane. 3 storeys: the lower storey has divided boarded door in south side; the middle storey has 2 lozenge-shaped breathers on each side; the upper storey has 2 vertical-sided pentagonal flight-holes above a corbelled landing-platform. Interior: Ladder access. 3 rows of 8 nesting boxes in each wall of the upper storey.
