gate piers and wall,

Churchyard gates and wall. Mid C19. Red sandstone and wrought iron. Low
sandstone rubble wall with rounded coping, encloses churchyard on 4 sides.
Entrance at north-east corner has squared ashlar piers with moulded caps and
ball finials. Railed iron gates have intersecting scrolled corner brackets.
Iron lamp overthrow, is attached to the caps of either pier. The churchwarden's
accounts for 1841 record the payment of 18 shillings to Thomas Westmorland for
the new gate in the churchyard. Listed partly for G.V. with nearby church.
