CRANTOCK WEST PENTIRE SW 76 SE 4/57 Arundell - GV II
House. C17 origin, enlarged probably early - mid C19, with C20 alterations. Painted stone rubble. Bitumenised slate roof with ridge tiles and gable ends to the main range, which has gable end stack to right with rubble shaft; the front range has a hipped slate roof with a stack at the left side. Plan: Probably originally a 2-room plan house, with each room heated from a gable end stack. Front parallel range added circa early - mid C19, of one-room plan, with stair to right end and room to left heated from a stack at the left side. C19 porch set in the angle to the main range. Exterior: Asymmetrical 2-storey front. The front range has porch with pitched roof, 2-panelled door at the left side and C20 window to front. C19 12-pane sash with cambered arch lighting the stair to right, and 12-pane sash at first floor to left. The main range is set back to right with 4-light C20 casement at ground floor and C19 16-pane sash at first floor. Interior: Not accessible.
