ST GORAN SW 94 SE 3/87 Trewolla Farmhouse - II

Farmhouse. Early - mid C19, with few later alterations. Slatestone rubble with brick dressings. Hipped concrete tiled roof. Stack with brick shaft to left and stack with rendered shaft to right; stack with brick shaft to rear left. Plan: Double depth plan, with central entrance and principal room to front right and left, each heated from an end stack. The kitchen is to rear left, forming a rear wing to left, with an unheated dairy to rear right. There is an outhouse attached at the left side. Exterior: 2 storeys, symmetrical 3-window front. All windows are C19 12-pane sashes with cambered brick arches. Central C20 plank door with overlight and cambered brick arch. At the left side there is a C20 window at first floor to centre lighting the stair; at ground floor there is a single storey dairy with hipped roof and C20 2- light 6-pane casement at the front. The right side has C19 12-pane sash with cambered brick arch at ground and first floor to right. At the rear, the kitchen wing is to right, 2-storey, with one C19 12-pane sash with cambered brick arch at ground floor and two similar sashes at first floor. There is a single storey lean-to set in the angle to the main range, with late C19 4-pane sash at the right side and a C20 glazed porch to left. Interior: Not inspected, but may retain good plain features of the C19.
