SOUTH HILL SX 37 SW and SX 36 NW 7/232 Barn 40m to west of Penwarden GV II

Bank barn comprising shippon with threshing floor above. Circa 1860s. Stone rubble with large granite quoins. Scantle slate roof with hipped ends to main range and half-hipped end to extending wing on east. 2 storeys. Symmetrical central range with 3 round dressed stone arches on ground floor, central opening wider than 2 flanking openings. First floor with 3 openings beneath timber lintels. Central opening with double plank doors with slate hood. Side openings partly blocked with glazed lights. East wing with doveholes in half-hipped end. On west hipped end, stone rubble lean-to.
