3/19 Drinking trough 20m to south east - of Post Office

Drinking trough. 1902. Cast by McDowall Steven and Co Ltd, Milton Iron Works, Glasgow. Erected by subscription to commemorate the coronation year of King Edward VII. Cast iron. Narrow rectangular trough with rounded ends, moulded base, the sides curve out to rolled lip, inscription in panel on south and drain on north. Stands on heavy cast-iron plinth, with rounded ends and chamfered top.
