CARDINHAM SX 16 NW 6/25 Treslea Cross 6.6.69 GV II*

Cross. Probably pre-Conquest. Granite. Wheelhead cross, about 1½ metres high. Roughly hewn chamfered monolith shaft. Wheelhead with 4 indentations forming a primitive saltire cross shape. Lugs to sides of the wheelhead. Raised carved ridge down the centre of the shaft. The rear is the same as the front. Ancient monument no. 198.
