4/85 Middle Trelowia Cottage 20m to - south of Middle Trelowia Farmhouse
II
Farmhouse now farm cottage. Possibly late C17 or early C18, extended to rear probably in C18. Stone rubble, rendered on front elevation with slate roof with gable ends. Further parallel range to rear on left, partly slate-hung on first floor with slate roof with gable ends. Large projecting stone rubble chimney stack with brick shaft on left-hand gable end of front range with projecting chimney stack with C20 rendered brick shaft on lower right-hand gable end. Truncated projecting stone rubble chimney stack to rear wing at gable end on left. Probably originally 2 room and through or cross passage plan with C19 stair in rear of passage. 1-room range added to rear on left in circa C18 to form overall L-shaped plan. Outshut added in angle of front range and rear wing in circa C19 and outbuilding added at lower right-hand gable end in circa late C18 or early C19. 2 storeys almost symmetrical 2-window front. Ground floor with 2 late C19/C20 4-pane sashes flanking central panelled door with C20 gabled glazed porch on rendered base with slate roof. First floor with 2 similar sashes. 2 storey outbuilding at lower right-hand gable end, stone rubble with slate roof. Blocked opening on ground floor with slit opening above. Rear elevation with added rear wing partly open on ground floor with first floor supported on stone rubble piers.
