Details

ALLOSTOCK C.P. BOOTH BED LANE SJ 77 SE 3/1 Booth Bed Farmhouse - II Farmhouse, late C17 with later alterations and additions. Brown brick in Flemish Bond with slate roof, 3 storeys, 2 bays with C20 2-storey wing (north) and single storey lean-to (south). A 2-storey 2-bay rear wing (east) completes a "T" shaped plan. Two-course-deep brick bands at first and second floor level. Door with three narrow raised and fielded panels and three narrow bead and flush, in chamfered frame with external lining and architrave. The door is fronted by a C19 brick gabled porch with semicircular-headed rebated and chamfered opening and shaped barge board with finial. 3-light flush casements with stepped brick labels. The windows in north extension match but there are alterations at south-west corner. Gable end: stacks and barge boards. Interior: Bevelled beams and some cased beams. Wide boarded doors at three levels. Staircase with splat balusters. Exposed bevelled purlins.
