WORLESTON C.P. REASEHEATH SJ 65 SW 4/93 Reaseheath Old Hall 10.6.52 - II
Farmhouse, late C18 with earlier origins and later alterations. Red brick in Flemish Bond with slate roof. 3 storeys, 5 bays. The rear (north-west) wing completes an 'L' shaped plan. Central bay set forward with stone gable pediment. Sandstone plinth. 6-panel door flanked by plain wing lights with stone sills all surmounted by a wood pediment. 2-to-4-light C20 metal casements, with glazing bars, in wood frames with stone sills and stone wedge lintels. There is a 3-light lunette at second floor level. Brick dentil course at eaves. Symmetrically placed stacks with blue brick caps. Gables have barge boards. Interior: Bevelled beams and exposed joists in the rear wing, also wide boarded ledge and battened doors on HL hinges and strap hinges. Six- panel doors at ground floor and first floor level. Plain oak staircase with square newels and balusters.
