ACTON C.P. DORFOLD PARK SJ 65 SW 4/10 Ice house north-east of Dorfold Hall (formerly listed as Icehouse at Dorfold Hall) 12 January 1967 GV II

Icehouse, probably late C18. Red brick under earth mound. A narrow brick vaulted passage slopes downwards beneath the earth mound, this leads to a number of steps leading directly to the chamber, with the vaulted roof following the rake of the steps. The chamber is well below ground level, is circular and appears to have a domed roof.
