GV II

Watermill. Circa 1850. Red brick in English Garden Wall Bond with slate roof. 2 bays. Split level plan giving 2 storeys and loft at rear (north) loft only at front (south). There is an added 2 storey bay at the east gable. The grain loft loading bay door is under a shallow gabel flanked by valleys of small interlaced slates. The west gable has a flush mullion and transome window with stone sill. The north elevation has a boarded entrance door and several plain openings. The roof has wide overhangs to verges and eaves. Interior: The floors arrangement is as follows:- Ground floor - wheelhouse and drying oven. First floor - stones and drying floor second floor - grain store. The mill was disused from 1960 but restored as a working Museum in 1977.
