1. 1425 BEAM STREET ----------- Crewe's Almshouses SJ 6552 1/66 19.4.48

2. Dated 1767. A row of 7 houses. Red brick; storeys; central projection finished as pediment with circular panel; stone cornice with small plain consoles; 12 sash windows with stone lintels, keyblocks and sills; 6 simple doorways in plain stone surrounds; 6 panelled central door with arched fanlight and keyblock, featured with stone surround, 3/4 columns, side windows, pilasters and entablature and pediment over; central stone tablet with carved inscription and above date, hipped slate roof. In need of repair when inspected but restoration will form part of a proposal which includes the dismantling of Wright's Almshoues in London Road (Map No 1/63) and their re-erection on the Beam Street site where the 2 buildings would be linked by a Community Block.
