5/79 Woodend Farmhouse

GV II

Farmhouse: dated 1714 with minor alterations. Flemish bond purple-red brick, Welsh slate roof and 2 brick chimneys. 2-storey (and blind attic), symmetrical 3-bay front. Brick bands at 1st and 2nd floors. End bays have cambered brick heads to 3-light C20 wooden casements. Cambered brick head to framed and boarded door and datestone above reads "This house was erected by Hugh Mottram and his wife Dorothy in 1714". Small C20 extension to the left.
