II
Formerly inn now farmhouse: early C19. Partly rendered, coursed squared buff sandstone rubble, Kerridge stone-slate roof and 2 stone chimneys. 2-storey, symmetrical 3-bay front. Slight plinth and band at 1st floor window sill level. End bays have 12-pane sashes (horned above). Semi-circular headed reeded doorcase with rosette on keystone. Fanlight with radial glazing bars and C20 glazed door.
Probably an inn built on the New Buxton turnpike of 1821.
