2/11 No. 101 (Heath House).
GV II
Formerly an addition to No. 103, now a house: c1820 with projecting
end bay and other additions mid C19. Flemish bond, orange-red brick
with white pointing. Kerridge stone-slate roof, stone ridge and 4
brick chimneys. L-shaped in plan. 2-storey, 3-bay front. Left end
bay 2-storey, curved bay window with flat, gauged and rubbed brick
heads to 2 12-pane sashes on each storey. Fluted stone frieze
projecting course and low blocking course at eaves. Central bay has
semi-circular headed doorcase of gauged and rubbed bricks over a plain
fanlight and 6-panelled door, with a 12-pane sash above. Right end
bay projects 2 bays forward and has 2 horned. 12-pane sashes in the in the
side. To rear canted 2-storey, mid C19 bay.
Interior: Mainly servant's quarters except for drawing room. This
has ceiling with an acanthus frieze and a reeded border. Door has
moulded surround with rosettes in the corners. Gothic fireplace was
brought from the now demolished Eaton Hall, Chester.
