GV II

House. Late C17. Timber framed with brick infill and English garden
wall bond brick with slate roof. Two storeys and attic. Entrance
front: Ground floor is of brick painted black and white in simulation
of timber framing. C20 door to left of centre with sloping buttresses
to either side. C20 3-light casement window to ground floor left and
similar at right with single casement lights of 3 x 3 panes to either
side. Slightly jettied first floor with bressumer and 11 x 2 cells of
small framing. Two-light casement window to left and 3-light casement
to right each having wooden hood moulds. Gabled dormer to attic.
Later C19 two-storey brick cottage adjoins at right and C20 single
storey brick addition at left. Rear: masked by C20 additions at left
and ground floor right but 5 x 2 cells of small framing evident at
first floor right.
Interior: Chamfered end-stopped bressumer to parlour ingle-nook
fireplace.
