Hotel. Late C18 (incorporating parts of earlier structure and fragments of decorated stonework, from St. Mary's Priory, at rear.) Chevron dressed sandstone; Welsh slate roof; stone gable copings; 2 brick and one stone (R.H.S) stacks. 3 storeys, 4 bays. Early C20 public house frontage to ground floor comprising wide bow of 7 fixed lights with glazing bars. Doorways to either end: 6-panelled doors, with window fascia and moulding continued over. Segmental carriage archway to L.H.S. Early C20 metal casement windows with glazing bars to upper floors, in original openings. Painted stone sills. Keystones to first floor. Extensions to rear (N. side) are not of interest.
