of Fennes Farmhouse
II
Shell house. Early C19. Rustic Gothick. Flint with shell-encrusted interior. Thatched. Circular with conical roof. Ogee-arched tripartite entrance with timber posts. The original decorative twigwork doors lying inside building. Single light window. Interior: Shells embedded in plaster in decorative patterns, fragments of stained glass. Low bench running around walls. In poor condition at time of survey, section of thatch missing.
