Nos 1 and 2 Lapwing Cottages
(Formerly listed as Harts Buckle Farm)

Pair of cottages,formerly a medieval hall house. Circa 1550 or earlier, with C17 and
later additions and alterations. Timber framed and rough rendered. Corrugated
asbestos roof extending at left to lower level. 1 storey with wing at rear. 2
window range of small paned sliding sashes. Central 4 panelled door with light
over. Flat canopy. Off-centre red brick chimney stack. Heavily sooted medieval
roof timbers in situ under the later roof.
