Details
PILLATON SX 46 SW 6/191 Walls, piers, railings and gates at west entrance to Pentillie Castle GV II Walls, piers, railings and gates at the west entrance to Pentillie Park. Mid-late C19. Coursed stone walls, granite piers, cast iron railings and gates. Pair of central square plan stone piers, about 2 metres high. Rectangular panels of vermiculation and pyramidal caps. Pair of central cast iron gates with trefoil finials to top and mid rails. Low coursed stone wall swept forward to each side, about 10 metres long, with granite coping, surmounted by similar railings. Coursed stone terminal piers, of square plan, on plinth, with granite pyramidal cap, also about 2 metres high.
