CALSTOCK CHURCH STREET (east side), SX 4268-4368 Calstock 9/73 No 4 (formerly listed as nos 4 23.1.68 and 5) GV II Pair of attached houses, now one house. Early C19, with later alterations. Painted stone rubble. Asbestos slate roof with gable ends and gable end stacks with brick shafts. Plan: Originally No. 4 was to right and No. 5 to left. No. 4 was of 2-room plan, with central entrance, the room to right heated from the gable end stack. No. 5 was of one-room plan, with entrance directly into the room, heated from the gable end stack to left. Exterior: 2 storeys, symmetrical 5-window front ; first floor has three C19 16-pane sashes, alternating with blind windows, all with brick segmental arches. Ground floor has three 12-pane sashes, all with brick segmental arches ; below each first floor blind window is a C20 half-glazed door with flat lintel. Interior: Not inspected.
