4/67 Stable and pump 10m to west of - Morval House
GV II
Stables and pump. Probably mid C19. Stone rubble rendered projecting front gabled entrance and scantle slate roof with gable ends. Rectangular in plan comprising slate roof with 4 standings and separate tack room, hayloft above and water pump near entrance. Single storey with hayloft. Asymmetrical 2-window front with projecting 2-storey gabled porch to left of centre with wide open entrance on ground floor with niches in inner walls, double plank doors and plank door to loft in gable end above. To left and right of porch 2 probably C20 cross windows with glazing bars below dressed stone segmental arches. Tack room to right with plank stable door and glazed fanlight above. C19 water pump to left of entrance with brass taps. Interior with cobbled floor and complete fittings of high quality with wooden arcade of elliptical arched openings to stalls and loose box at left-hand end with curved timber partitions, well designed mangers and hay racks and separate timber panelled tack room on right.
