GV II*

Churchyard cross, circa C13. Granite octagonal shaft of about 2.4 metres in
height tapering towards top and decorated with carved foliage and blind tracery on alternate faces. Surmounted by lantern, square in plan with gabled top and rounded pinnacled corners. Carved recessed arched panels depicting the cruxifixion, the Virgin and Child and figures possibly St Peter and St Paul.
Discovered in 1838 in a trench at the west end of the Church and re-erected on
a millstone base in the churchyard. Scheduled as an Ancient Monument.
