Details
ST NEOT DRAYNES SX 26 NW 10/127 Draynes House - II House. Mid C19 with few later alterations. Slatestone and granite rubble with brick dressings, partly slate-hung. Hipped slate roof with crested ridge tiles, and deep eaves. Stacks to sides with brick shafts. Plan: Double depth plan with central entrance; straight stair in the passage; 2 principal rooms to right and left facing the garden at the rear. Exterior: 2 storeys, symmetrical 2-window front, all 16-pane sashes with cambered brick heads; central 4-panelled door with glazed circle inset and cambered brick head. Right side blind. Left side has C20 16-pane sash at ground floor to right. At the rear the upper level is slate-hung. Ground floor has C20 French window to left and 4-pane sash to right, door set off-centre to right. First floor has two 16- pane sashes to centre and 4-pane sash to right and left. Interior: not inspected.
