Details

ST CLEER TREMAR SX 26 NE 11/93 Cloamers - GV II House. Probably early C18, extended in mid C19 with some C20 alterations. Slatestone and granite rubble, with granite quoins to left. Slate roof with gable end to right, gable end stack with truncated rubble shaft; hipped roof to left with axial stack with brick shaft, formerly at gable end. Plan: Small 2-room plan house, with entrance directly into the room to right; each room heated by gable end stack. In circa mid C19, the house was extended to left, by a 1-room plan addition with an entrance to the left. Exterior: 2 storeys, asymmetrical 3-window front, with straight joint dividing the 2 windows to right and window to left. First floor has two C19 16-pane sashes to left and 8-pane sash to right. Ground floor has C20 door and porch, 8-pane sash to right, 16-pane sash to left, all with granite lintels. End bay to left has gabled C20 porch and 16-pane sash with granite lintel. Right side has external stack, stepped, with oven at base to right with clay door to outside. Large buttress to left of stack. Rest of building and interior not accessible.
