LANSALLOS THE WAREN, (south side), Polperro SX 2050-2150, 2051-2151 5 & 6/136 Pathways, Hope Cottage, Sunny Bank and L'Teglios (previously listed as 21.8.64 No 4, Sunny Bank Hope Cottage and adjoining cottage, Warren Road) GV II
4 terraced cottages. Possibly early C18, partly remodelled in mid C19. Rendered and painted stone rubble with slate roof with gable ends. Large stone rubble chimney stack on lower gable end. 2 rendered brick lateral chimney stacks on the north elevation to the Warren. Terrace of 4 probably 1-room plan cottages with entrances at the higher ground level at rear. The end cottages heated from gable end stack, the 2 central cottages have rear lateral stacks. Built on split level into side of hill with 3-storey elevation to the harbour and 2-storey elevation to the Warren. Regular 6-window front to the harbour with C19 4-pane sashes. C20 flying buttresses above ground floor. Elevation to the Warren unfenestrated except for 1 window. Front entrance to Pathways at the higher end in rendered porch with lean-to slate roof. Part glazed early C20 door. Small rectangular window to left. Entrances to Hope Cottage and Sunny Bank Cottages to right with lateral chimney stack between. Steps lead down to double partly glazed plank doors. To right, buttress and entrance to L Teglios which has a plank door with lean-to slate roof and 2-light C19 casement above. Interior not inspected.
