Details
LANSALLOS THE WARREN, (south side), Polperro SX 2050-2150 6/144 Store adjoining Harbour Studio to west (previously listed as Crab and 21.8.64 Lobster shop to west of Harbour Studio, Warren Road) GV II
Probably coal store later used as shop and now store. Circa early C19. Painted stone rubble with asbestos slate roof with hipped end on left-hand side and gable end on right-hand side. 1-room plan. Front wall rises from harbour walls. Single-storey elevation to the harbour with reused C19 3-light horizontally sliding sash of varying pattern of glazing bars on left and 2-light casement to right. Elevation to the Warren with 2 pairs of plank doors. Simple store accommodation within. Partly illustrated in photograph of c1856 by Lewis Harding. Photograph taken at turn of C19 illustrates harbour elevation of store with blocked window on left and a rag slate roof.
