Details
LANSALLOS TALLAND MILL, (north west side), SX 2051-2151 Polperro 5/107 Wayside Cottage 21.8.64 GV II
House. Circa early C19. Stone rubble, painted on front elevation with slate roof with gable ends. Brick chimney stacks on gable ends with projecting stack on left- hand gable end. Single depth plan of 2 rooms with cross passage. Further entrance to first floor higher right-hand gable end as ground rises to right. Built on solid rock into side of hill with ground also rising to rear. 3 storeys, regular 2-window front. Ground floor with C19 2-light casement with glazing bars to left. 4-panel door in open porch with slate hood. 9-pane casement in blocked entrance and C19 casement window with differing glazing bars to first floor with two original 12-pane sashes without horns beneath brick segmental arches. Further two C19 12-pane sashes above. Interior with C19 joinery. Unspoilt and unaltered exterior.
