LANSALLOS LANSALLOS STREET, (north side), SX 2050-2150 Polperro 6/49 Pair of Cottages between Couch's - House and Noughts and Crosses Inn GV II
Pair of cottages now cottage and part of Noughts and Crosses Inn which extends on right. Circa 1860s. Rendered and pebble-dashed stone rubble with cement-washed scantle slate roof with gable ends. Rendered brick chimney stack on left-hand gable end. Single depth pair of mirror image single-room plan cottages. 2 storeys. Regular 3-window front. Ground floor with 12-pane sash without horns to left of 4- panelled C19 door with small rectangular fanlight with diagonal glazing bars. 4- panel door to right, partly glazed with similar fanlight above and blocked window opening to right-hand side. Above two 12-pane sashes without horns flanking central window opening shared by 2 houses with 2-pane sash on left and sash on right with margin glazing bars. Rear elevation to stream with extension to right-hand cottage Interior of right-hand cottage gutted. Interior of left-hand cottage with C19 joinery. Included for group value.
